CLINTON – DeWitt County emergency officials say a reservoir northeast of Clinton that was in danger of failing during the recent heavy rains has stabilized.
The National Weather Service in Lincoln has raised concern on Monday that the reservoir was at risk of flooding and potentially dividing the town. An official with the DeWitt County/Clinton Emergency Management Agency said last night the Emergency Operations Center has been deactivated though standing water is will a concern.
