NORMAL – Two members of the Illinois State University basketball team are in trouble with the law.
Milik Yarbrough and Derrick Clayton Jr., both 20, are charged with theft. ISU Police Chief Aaron Woodruff told WJBC News a phone and wallet were reported stolen at a campus event last month.
Police were notified that the phone had been reactivated over the weekend and they were able to get the general location.
Just this week Deontae Hawkins of the ISU basketball team was suspended indefinitely following an arrest for DUI.
Coach Dan Muller said he is aware of the situation and they are handling it internally.
