State Farm becomes new sponsor for Youth Classic golf tournament

BLOOMINGTON – The Bloomington-Normal Convention and Visitors Bureau and Sports Commission has announced State Farm as title sponsor of The Youth Classic Golf Tournament.

“State Farm, our agents and associates are proud to be the title sponsor of the State Farm Youth Classic,” said State Farm Marketing Analyst John Althoff. “We are here to help support this prestigious event that brings hundreds of young golfers to the Bloomington-Normal community each year.”

The youth tournament which started at 2002 has been sponsored by Country Financial.

“We are excited to collaborate with State Farm – a major community asset that possesses a powerful brand and strong reputation for sponsoring world-class sporting events,” Matt Hawkins of the Bloomington-Normal CVB and Sports Commission added. “We are grateful for the support, and look forward to working together to strengthen the tournament and attract more junior golfers to Bloomington-Normal.”

The State Farm Youth Classic will be conducted at six golf courses in Bloomington-Normal on June 25-28, 2017.

The category exclusive collaboration will run through 2019.
