College Avenue water main fixed, Town of Normal boil order still in effect

NORMAL – The water main break in the 1000 block of East College Avenue has been fixed, but a town wide boil order remains in effect for Normal.

The town said water samples are currently being collected from the system. Environmental Protection Agency regulations require the testing period to last 24 hours.

The boil order will remain in effect until after the laboratory sampling confirms the water quality has not been compromised. The town expected the order to be lifted sometime Saturday evening.
