BLOOMINGTON – State Rep. Dan Brady said he expects the Illinois House will pass a budget before the spring session ends in May.
The Bloomington Republican told WJBC’s Scott Laughlin and Patti Penn he expects House Speaker Mike Madigan will use his Democratic majority to pass a spending plan, but who knows were it will go from there.

“What common ground could be found between the Republicans in the House and the Democrats for a true budget the Governor Rauner might have something to do with in the way of not vetoing that?,” Brady asked.
Brady said the state must first focus on a new supplemental plan to replace six-month budget which expired in December.
Illinois has gone nearly 20 months without a complete budget.
