Bloomington-Normal holiday trash, recycling schedules

Bloomington and Normal have released the trash and recycling schedules for the Independence Day holiday

Bloomington

The Bloomington Public Works offices will be closed on July 4 in observance of the Fourth of July Holiday.

Household garbage and recycle will be collected as scheduled on July 4. The drop-off facility will be closed.

Normal

Only household waste and recycling will be collected in Normal July 3-4.

All other waste collection services (bulk waste, landscape waste and brush), for the Monday and Tuesday routes will be collected the following week on the regular route day. Wednesday through Friday routes will run as usual.

The town asks that all collection items be placed at curbside no later than 6 a.m. to ensure collection.

Town of Normal offices will be closed on July 3-4 in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.
