WOODFORD COUNTY – A single-vehicle crash on Interstate 74, between Carlock and Goodfield, killed a 72-year old Peoria woman and badly injured her husband.

Illinois State Police said in a news release that a pick-up truck carrying a non-motorized camper trailer was westbound on 74 when it rolled off the roadway about 6:10 p.m. Monday.

Woodford County Coroner Tim Ruestman said the woman, Marcia Gaffney, was dead at the scene. Ruestman said a Life Flight helicopter transported her husband, Michael Gaffney, to OSF St. Francis Medical Center. His condition is not known.

Illinois State Police and Woodford County Sheriff’s Police are also investigating the crash.
