SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) _ Videos made by teenagers at Illinois high schools have been entered in a competition promoting radon awareness and health hazards associated with the radioactive gas. The Illinois Emergency Management Agency and the American Lung Association in Illinois are sponsoring the contest along with other groups. The more than 30 videos in the competition are 1-minute long. They are available online for members of the public to view and vote on.

Officials say only one vote per day per computer will be counted. Voting continues through March 31. The votes will be combined with judging to find the winning video, which is to be announced in April. The winning entrant's school is to receive a $2,000 prize for curricular activities. The winning student will receive $1,000.
