(Chicago, IL) -- Jurors in the corruption trial of ex-governor Blagojevich will get back to work this morning. They ended deliberations last week without returning a verdict. They did ask the judge in the case for transcripts of both the prosecution's closing argument, and testimony from witnesses. Judge James Zagel denied the requests, but said he would consider giving them transcripts of key testimony from some witnesses. Defense lawyers objected to that plan. Their motion to have the case declared a mistrial last week was also denied.
Among the more than two-dozen counts, Blagojevich and his brother, Rob Blagojevich, are charged with trying to sell Barack Obama's former Senate seat. They have pleaded not guilty to all charges.
