AG- Pork producers donate to food bank

The Central Illinois foodbank in Springfield got a boost this week with a donation from several local pork producers. The "Pork Power: Partnering to Fight Hunger in Illinois" initiative offers a system for farmers to donate pork to food banks associated with Feeding Illinois. In two years, Pork Power has generated more than 124,000 pounds of pork, enough for 50,000 servings in Illinois.
