ISU features Pontiac prison in documentary
4/8/2009 9:31:00 AM
By: Stephanie Pawlowski
Some Illinois State University students are focusing on Pontiac Prison in a new documentary about the decision to keep the prison open. Professor John McHale says the first 18 minutes of the documentary will be played at the Third Annual Sociopolitical Documentary Project Film Festival tonight. McHale says the students filmed the initial decision to close the prison by former Governor Blagojevich, the public outcry, and eventual decision to keep the prison open. McHale says the Pontiac Prison documentary is still a work in progress.
The showing is at seven in Schroeder Hall room 138.
