NORMAL — Southbound Veterans Parkway has reopened after a Tuesday morning crash that sent two people to the hospital, police said.
The crash happened around 10:40 a.m. at Veterans and Von Maur Drive, also known as Jumer Drive. Authorities blocked off southbound Veterans between College and Von Maur/Jumer while they worked the scene.
Veterans is now reopened.
A Ford Focus and SUV apparently collided, and the SUV was flipped over on its roof. Emergency crews worked to free someone trapped in the SUV.
That person and someone else were transported to the hospital, said Normal Fire Department spokesman Matt Swaney. Their conditions were not known.
