The Republican Primary for Eleventh Circuit Judge is now up to two. Attorney Chris Gramm announced today he’s seeking nomination to the seat. Gramm has worked as an Assistant State’s Attorney in McLean County, has his own private practice now, and grew up in Livingston County. He spent several years working as a translator in Japan before coming back to Illinois to get his law degree at Northern Illinois University. Gramm says he’s always been interested in politics and wants to take his activism to the next level.
“With this, I feel like I’m uniquely qualified as an attorney to mount this challenge,” Gramm said.
He made his announcement at the McLean County Museum of History this morning in downtown Bloomington, but is on a tour of the Eleventh Circuit, with stops in Logan County, Livingston County and Woodford County.
Gramm says President Reagan was a formative figure when he was growing up, and thinks America would be served better if conservatives took over every office.
Judge Paul Lawrence announced earlier this month his candidacy for the Republican nomination for Circuit Judge. The Eleventh Circuit includes McLean, Livingston, Ford, Woodford and Logan Counties.
