Illinois State’s Helm to serve on Governor Quinn’s Internet Privacy Task Force

Illinois State University Director of Business Intelligence and Technology Solutions Matthew Helm has been appointed to Governor Quinn’s Internet Privacy Task Force, the first of its kind in the nation.
The 12-member task force will look at what the state can do to prepare and protect Illinois’ industry and infrastructure from cyber attacks. Among the issues the team will tackle is how the state can attract cyber security firms, ensure the privacy of citizens who visit state government websites and help local business guard against cyber espionage.
The task force includes representatives from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Motorola Mobility, Boeing, Argonne National Laboratory, The Northern Trust Company, Fermilab, CME Group, Resolute Consulting and TechAmerica.
