Illinois State coach Glance remembers Kay Yow

Before her passing on January 24, 2009, after facing her 3rd bout with breast cancer, legendary women’s basketball coach at North Carolina State, Kay Yow united thousands in the fight against women’s cancers with the formation of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. (Photo courtesy of NCSU)
Illinois State University women’s basketball coach Stephanie Glance says she’s excited to be a part of the “Play for Kay” effort this Sunday honoring her mentor, former North Carolina State coach Kay Yow.
Yow, before her death, united thousands in the fight against women’s cancers by forming her cancer fund.
The Kay Yow Cancer Fund has generated over $5 million for cancer research.
Tickets for Sunday’s game will be just $1 but Play 4 Kay T-shirts and shorts will be on sale with all proceeds going to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
