North Central outlasts Illinois Wesleyan men

UPDATED 8:10 A.M. | BLOOMINGTON – Illinois Wesleyan senior Jordan Zimmer will be tested today for a possible concussion.

Zimmer left the second half of the Titans’ loss to North Central after taking an elbow to the jaw from a North Central player. He did not return.

Jordan is the CCIW’s third-leading scorer at 15.7 points per game.

The Illinois Wesleyan Titans fell two games back in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin race after an 80-73 loss to CCIW-leader North Central at Shirk Center.

After holding the Cardinals in check for nearly 30 minutes of the game, trailing only 36-32 at halftime, the Titans were hit hard by Cardinals’ leading scorer Aaron Tiknis with 23 points. Despite Victor Davis tying up the game with nearly two minutes left in the game, North Central pulled out the win.

The Titans were led in scoring by Davis with 19 points. Jordan Zimmer had 14 points but left the game after an elbow to the jaw midway through the second half.
