Norton: 2011 summed up by debt and foolish politicians

Illinois State University finance professor Edgar Norton joined WJBC’s Jim Fitzpatrick on Thursday to discuss the year in economics.

“Two big stories related to each other – one was the ‘D’ word for debt. The other is something that goes along with foolish politicians. It’s like a dog, you can tell it to sit it will sit. You can’t tell the economy to grow and have it grow because your tweaking a few dials or something. You can do that fine at the radio station here.  The economy doesn’t react that way,” Norton said.
