Rev. Charles K. Hartman died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012.
Rev. Charles K. Hartman of Bloomington, Ill. passed away at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 at Bloomington Rehab & Health Care Center. He was 98.
His funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Thursday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home in Bloomington. Rev. Robert Howard will officiate. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Bloomington.
Visitation will be 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to Alzheimer’s Research. Rev. Hartman was born Sept. 29, 1913 in Loveland, Colo., the son of Charles Wesley and Jenny Marsh Hartman.
He married Leah Veta Griffin. She precedes him in death. Later, he married Evelyn L. Alexander Dean on Dec. 26, 1966 in Centralia, Ill. She survives.
Also surviving are 6 children: Wesley (Patti) Hartman, Ft. Collins, Colo., Charles (Beverly) Hartman, Seekonk, Mass., LaVon Hartman, Waynesville, N.C., Marcia Dean, Normal,Ill., Melinda (Kenneth) Buscher, Camdenton, Mo., Monica (Barry) Moore, Bloomington, Ill. and 11 grandchildren.
He is also preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, one brother and two sisters.
He received his bachelor’s degree at Oklahoma Baptist University. He graduated from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Rev. Hartman served as a local minister in Olivet, N.J., was an American Baptist Minister with the Great Rivers Region as an area minister. He also served as the director of Town and Country Works in Colorado.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, chess and reading.

Janice Jobe died on Sunday, February 5, 2012.
Janice M. Jobe
Janice M. Jobe, 57, of Bloomington, passed away at 10:08pm, Sunday, February 5, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family.
Her memorial service will be at 1:00pm, Thursday (2-9-12) at Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home, Bloomington with Rev. John McIntosh officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00am to 1:00pm, Thursday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in East Lawn Mausoleum at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community Cancer Center, Humane Society of Central Illinois or Advocate BroMenn Hospice, all in Normal.
Janice was born March 2, 1954 in Bloomington, the daughter of William F. and Delcie Jennings Lannie. She married Timothy Jobe on September 20, 1975 in Bloomington. He survives.
She is also survived by two daughters, Lisa (Erik) Sleevar, Bloomington and Jennifer Jobe, Normal; one granddaughter, Presley Joy Sleevar; one brother, Richard (Kelli) Lannie and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, William Lannie and one sister, Joyce Lannie.
Janice graduated from Bloomington High School. She worked for the Unit 5 school district in Normal. She had been a secretary at Parkside Junior High School and was the registrar at Normal West High School, before retiring in 2010.
Janice’s passion was her family and many friends. She touched so many people’s lives with her love and generosity. She will always be remembered for her extreme devotion to her family and friends.

Perry Hamilton Zimmerman
Perry Hamilton Zimmerman of Fairbury, Ill. and formerly of Forrest, Ill. died at 3:43 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2012 at his daughter’s residence in Fairbury. He was 92.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 at the Apostolic Christian Church in Forrest with ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be in the North Apostolic Christian Cemetery in rural Forrest.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home in Fairbury and 9-9:45 a.m. Monday at the church.
Mr. Zimmerman was born March 14, 1919 in Saunemin, Ill. the son of Louis and Louise Mueller Zimmerman. He married Dorothy Gudeman on April 18, 1948 in Elgin, Ill. She survives in Fairbury.
Other survivors include his children: Sharon Adams, Fairbury, Mike (Jeanette) Zimmerman, Forrest, Paul (Loretta) Zimmerman, Wayne (Nancy) Zimmerman, both of Fairbury, Donna (Larry) Bachman, Forrest, two sisters, Marge (Merle) Kaisner, Fairbury, Betty (Bill) Hodel, Roanoke, three brothers, Glen (Mildred) Zimmerman, Forrest, Allen (Melba) Zimmerman, Fairbury, Bob (Judy) Zimmerman, Normal., twenty one grandchildren and thirty five great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by a son Roy, son-in-law, Terry Adams, a grandson, Jonathan Zimmerman, three brothers, three sisters, and three sisters-in-law.
Mr. Zimmerman was a lifetime farmer and a 72-year member of the Forrest Apostolic Christian Church. He served as a minister of the church for 25 years and elder for 19 of those years.
The family suggests memorials be given to the OSF Hospice Eastern Region in Normal, Ill., the Apostolic Christian Church in Forrest, or Fairview Haven Nursing Home in Fairbury.
