Redbird, Titan basketball on WJBC

After losing two games on the road, the Illinois State men’s basketball team returns to Redbird Arena Saturday for the BracketBuster game against Oakland.

The Redbirds have had significant success in the ‘Buster, going 13-4 in the 10-year history of the event. In fact, those 13 victories are the most of any team involved in the BracketBuster.

The Illinois Wesleyan men’s basketball team hosts Elmhurst Saturday. The Titans have already clinched a berth in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament with a 9-4 CCIW mark.

In other basketball action Saturday afternoon, the Fighting Illini men’s hoops team travels to Nebraska after the Illini suffered a loss to Purdue Wednesday. Listen to Saturday’s game at 3:30 p.m. on WJBC FM 93.7.

The Redbird baseball and softball seasons continue Saturday. The baseball team visits Austin Peay at noon, while the softball team travels to Tempe, Arizona for a game against Central Michigan at 2 p.m. and a match with Iowa after that.
