Redbird, Titan men’s hoops on WJBC

The Redbird men’s basketball team hopes some home cooking and a win over in-state rival Bradley can erase the memory of a blowout loss at Creighton.

Illinois State faces the Braves Saturday at Redbird Arena. ISU is looking for its fifth-straight home victory against Bradley. The Redbirds will try to distance themselves from the pack in the Missouri Valley Conference, as they come into the contest in a four-way tie for third place.

In other college basketball action Saturday, the Illinois Wesleyan men’s team hosts North Park. The Titans come in at third in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, trailing North Central and Wheaton.

Rounding out the Saturday slate, the Bloomington Blaze visit Quad City at 7 p.m. and the Central Illinois Drive start a two-game home and home series with Indiana at 2:45 p.m.
