Illinois Lt. Gov. Sheila Simon will join Gov. Pat Quinn at State Farm’s Bloomington headquarters Thursday to discuss the state’s plans to help education better prepare graduates for the work force.
Simon says there are many chronically unfilled jobs, specifically in the areas of science technology, engineers and math. She said schools can better work with employers to give students the job skills they need.
