BLOOMINGTON — Organizers announced Friday that this week’s WJBC and Radio Bloomington St. Jude Radiothon raised $78,727, beating last year’s total by about $1,200.
The total was announced Friday night, capped off two days of personal stories from local families who’ve been helped by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The Memphis-based hospital has been named the No. 1 pediatric cancer care hospital in the U.S. by Parents magazine.
WJBC listeners came up big through call-in donations and WJBC.com contributions, along with listeners from sister stations B-104 and WBNQ. And just because the Radiothon is over, doesn’t mean you have to stop giving. You can continue to make donations over the weekend at WJBC.com.
