Illinois Wesleyan men, Blaze on WJBC tonight

The Illinois Wesleyan men will try to stay in the Conference Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin hunt when the Titans host league leader North Central at Shirk Center on Tuesday.

The Titans are tied in third place in the CCIW (7-3), two games behind the  Cardinals.

IWU hoops sweep North Park on Pink Zone night

BLOOMINGTON -- On a night when Illinois Wesleyan celebrated breast cancer awareness with its Pink Zone fundraiser, the Titans smothered the North Park Vikings in green in rolling to convincing wins on Saturday.

The Titan men rolled to an 84-63 win over the Vikings, while the IWU women won 72-58 in front of an estimated crowd of 1,400 at Shirk Center.

Redbird, Titan men’s hoops on WJBC

The Redbird men's basketball team hopes some home cooking and a win over in-state rival Bradley can erase the memory of a blowout loss at Creighton.

Illinois State faces the Braves Saturday at Redbird Arena. ISU is looking for its fifth-straight home victory against Bradley. The Redbirds will try to distance themselves from the pack in the Missouri Valley Conference, as they come into the contest in a four-way tie for third place.

Illinois Wesleyan goes pink for breast cancer

BLOOMINGTON - This year's Pink Zone game takes on new meaning for  Illinois Wesleyan women's coach Mia Smith.

Smith was diagnosed with breast cancer in June of 2011.

Illinois Wesleyan drops two at Wheaton

WHEATON – The Illinois Wesleyan men fell out of a first-place tie atop the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin with a 60-53 loss at Wheaton on Saturday.

The Titans fell behind after leading scorer Kevin Reed drew his fourth foul midway through the second half.

Redbird, Titan, Illini basketball on WJBC

Illinois State's men's basketball team wraps up a two-game homestand Saturday as they face the Southern Illinois Salukis.

The Redbirds got a pivotal win against Missouri State on Wednesday and look to get some revenge for a sloppy loss in Carbondale earlier this season. Illinois State also hopes to get above the .500 mark in Missouri Valley Conference play.

Illinois Wesleyan men prep for grueling road trips

BLOOMINGTON - Ron Rose's Titans made it through the first half of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin head of two team who were expected to fare better than Illinois Wesleyan this season.

After defeating both Wheaton and preseason favorite Augustana at Shirk Center earlier this month, the Titans prepare for back-to-back road games at Wheaton and Augie.

Illinois Wesleyan powers past Millikin in return home

BLOOMINGTON – The Illinois Wesleyan men were dominant in their first game back at the Shirk Center in a week, taking down Millikin's Big Blue, 75-53, on Tuesday.

The Titans (15-3 overall, 6-1 CCIW) defeated Millikin in a game where they went on a 15-0 run in the second half to put the game out of reach.

Titans, high school hoops on WJBC

The Illinois Wesleyan men will close out the first half of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin season on Tuesday with a game against the only league opponent they have yet to face.

The Titans (14-3, 5-1) will host the Millikin Big Blue at Shirk Center. Wesleyan is tied with North Central and Wheaton atop the CCIW.
