NORMAL - The Normal CornBelters will have to wait until July to finish their third game of the season.
Their game with Windy City was suspended by rain and lightning at the Corn Crib on Sunday. It will be resumed at Windy City in July with the CornBelters leading 1-0 in the bottom of the 4th inning.
The delay was 1 hour 56 minutes.

NORMAL - The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, gave up three early runs and dropped a 7-2 decision to the Windy City ThunderBolts on Saturday night at the Corn Crib.
The ThunderBolts struck in their first time up, as Chris Wade singled and was tripled home by Michael Torres

The St. Louis Cardinals open a weekend series against the National League West-leading Dodgers in Los Angeles on Friday.
The Dodgers will be without slugger Matt Kemp who went on the disabled list this week with a strained hamstring.
Lance Lynn is scheduled to take the hill (6-1) for St. Louis against Ted Lilly (5-0).

WASHINGTON, Pa. - The Normal CornBelters signed three pitchers from the 2012 Frontier League Draft on Wednesday.
Elio Briones joins the Belters after playing in an amateur circuit in Miami for a while. During that time, he has done well enough to garner the attention of several pro scouts.
"Briones is a classic starter that can eat up innings, and he can compete for a rotation spot or be a long relief player,” said Field Manager Chad Parker.
Cancer celebration honors survivors
The Community Cancer Center plans a Cancer Survivors Day celebration at the Normal Cornbelter baseball game on Sunday, May 27. Free tickets are available at the Community Cancer Center to anyone living with a history of cancer from the moment of diagnosis throughout the remainder of life.
