The Normal CornBelters have made a trade with the Lake County Fielders for right-handed pitcher Liam Ohlmann and utility player Jeff Dunbar. The Fielders will receive players to be named later.

CornBelters Public Relations/Media Manager Ashylnne Solvie and Intern Morgan join WJBC's R.C. McBride and Jim Fitzpatrick to preview the various promotions taking place at the Corn Crib this season. Solvie says the organization continues to look for a PA Announcer and members of the Fun Crew for home games.

The Normal CornBelters will bring a familiar voice to the broadcast booth this season. WJBC Sports Director Greg Halbleib will broadcast all the games, on the WJBC CornBelters Radio Network, WJBC.com and 95.9 WEZC. Halbleib was the public address announcer at the Corn Crib last season.

B-N picks up IHSA soccer finals
Bloomington-Normal is getting another Illinois High School Association State Final event. The Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Bloomington-Normal Area Sports Commission announced today that the IHSA selected the Twin Cities and the Corn Crib as the Class 1A Boys Soccer State Finals site through 2015.
