BLOOMINGTON – Santa Claus is coming to town a bit early Friday, and he’s stopping by WJBC’s studios to talk to some local kids.
Kris Kringle will join WJBC’s Patti Penn from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday to take kids’ calls live. Listeners can also send Santa an email or text at talk@wjbc.com, with a name and phone number that Santa can call back! (Put “Santa” in the subject line.) Patti will also be sharing and taking recipes for holiday cooking from 10 a.m. to noon.

Gifts for the annual Brotherhood Tree were coming up short earlier in the week, with Wednesday's deadline looming. Organizer Gary Spears will join Scott and Colleen on-air at 7:15 a.m. Thursday on WJBC for an update. Deliveries are Saturday.

BLOOMINGTON – Music, movies and local politics will be in the spotlight on WJBC’s on-air schedule Wednesday.
Normal native Nick Schroeder, who plays lead trumpet with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, will join WJBC’s Scott and Colleen at 8:45 a.m. The orchestra will perform at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington’s City Council, economic development and a new way to rebut the excess of social networking top WJBC’s schedule Tuesday.
Bloomington City Manager David Hales joins WJBC’s Scott and Colleen at 8:10 a.m. to follow up on the council’s regularly scheduled meeting the night before. Later at 3:10 p.m., Mayor Steve Stockton will sit down with WJBC’s Jim and R.C. to continue the discussion.
