BLOOMINGTON - A former WJBC and WBNQ personality who was known as much for his service to the community as his time on the air has died.
J.D. Scott died Tuesday at his home in Bloomington. He was 61.
J.D. joined the WBNQ staff in 1975. In 1998, he moved to Radio Bloomington sister station WJBC, where he worked until 2002.

WBNQ's Faith Rinker joined WJBC's R.C. McBride and Jim Fitzpatrick on Tuesday to revive "What the kids are listening to on the Super-Q" Tuesday.
In her first entry, Faith chose to break down LMFAO's "I'm Sexy And I Know It."
This segment is R.C. and Jim's effort to better teach parents about the meaning and history of the music their children are listening to on a daily basis.
