Tech expert Dean Plumadore says the iPad is faster, has more storage and is generic enough to be used as a Barnes and Noble Nook, Kindle Fire or an iBook reader for Apple products.

The Fire only allows access to the Amazon shopping ecosystem and Netflix but it’s a third of the cost of the iPad.

In this interview, Plumadore also addresses Google’s new privacy approach and mandated changes coming for all Facebook users.
