BLOOMINGTON – Illinois Wesleyan men’s basketball coach Ron Rose says he’s optimistic that the team’s leading scorer, Jordan Zimmer, will be able to return to the lineup for the Titans’ game at Carthage on Saturday.

Rose says tests conducted Thursday showed that Zimmer did not suffer a concussion after taking an elbow to the chin from a North Central player during Tuesday’s 80-73 loss. Rose says Zimmer has bounced back better than expected and it will depend on what symptoms he shows in his recovery.

Zimmer, a senior guard from Delavan, is the third-leading scorer in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin at 15.7 points per game.
