PHILADELPHIA – Illinois State football coach Brock Spack finished sixth in voting for the Eddie Robinson Award for the top coach in FCS.
Spack has guided a team which was picked to finish fifth in the Missouri Valley Football Conference to a conference co-championship and an appearance in the FCS semifinals.
The Eddie Robinson Award winner is New Hamphire's Sean McDonnell, whose team will host the Redbirds in the semifinals on Saturday.
Indiana State's Mike Sanford was ninth in the voting.
Ballots were submitted before the FCS playoff began.
