Peggy Ann Niepagen age 81 of Bloomington, IL passed away at 2:35 PM on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at her residence. Her funeral service will be 12 Noon Saturday December 27, 2014 at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington IL. Pastor David Short will be officiating. Visitation will be 10 AM-12 Noon Saturday December 27, 2014 at the Calvert & Metzler memorial Home, Bloomington IL. Private inurnment will be at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington IL. The family suggests memorials be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Peggy was born February 4, 1933 in Bloomington, IL the daughter of Thadeus and Mary Hupman Weakley. She married James Rousey. Peggy later married Wendell Niepagen on December 28, 1961 in Bloomington, IL. He passed August 16, 2010.

She is preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Jared Niepagen, 4 sisters, Frances Burkhart, Betty Schnieder, Josephine Bates, Jean Tallon.
She and Wendell started Wendell Niepagen Greenhouses in 1963 located on Cabintown Road, Bloomington. Her son Lee took over the family business in 1985. Peggy enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening, painting and cooking for her family. The family would like to thank God for sending her caregiver Kim Rogers to us. Kim’s care and compassion was a bright light for Peggy. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be missed by all who knew her.
