State Farm Holiday Classic, IWU tourney finals on WJBC

It will be tournament championship galore on WJBC Tuesday as all four titles will be determined in the State Farm Holiday Classic and Illinois Wesleyan aims for a Christmas tournament championship for a sixth consecutive year.

WJBC 1230 AM and WJBC.com will have live coverage of all four title games at the Classic from Shirk Center, as three of the games involve intercity teams. 

In the first match, University High takes on Morton for the Large School Girls title. Pregame begins at 3:15 p.m. with Eric Lapan and Sondra Findley on the call. Next, the Large School Bots final will feature Normal Community against Rock Island at 5:15. Eric Lapan and Derek Seig describing the action. 

The evening session will feature the two small school championships. Rockford Lutheran takes on Rochester in the girls' final at 7 with Larry Duling and Findley on the call, then Central Catholic will play Rockford Lutheran in the boys' final at 8:45 with Duling and Seig. 

WJBC will then shift to the Shirk Center's main tenant, as Illinois Wesleyan's men's basketball team plays host Cal Lutheran in the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Tournament from Thousand Oaks, Calif. at 10. The broadcast will begin on WJBC.com at 9:45 and will join 1230 AM after the Classic.
