BLOOMINGTON – Jordan Nelson hit seven 3-pointers on his way to a career-high points as Illinois Wesleysn cruised to a 93-60 win over Millikin in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin game at Shirk Center.
The Titans jumped out to an early 22-6 lead with a barrage of 3-point baskets that continued throughout the night. Weselyan connected on 16 of 26 from beyond the arc.
Joel Pennington also posted a career high with 14 points.
Twelve players scored for Ron Rose's Titans, including senior Branden Heyen who hadn't played since his freshman year because of an ankle injury and ongoing rehab.
The Titans have won three in a row and improve to 11-4 overall, 3-1 in the CCIW. Millikin drops to 6-9, 1-3 in the league.
The Titans will host North Park on Saturday.
