LAKE FOREST – Various media sources report John Fox has been hired as the next head coach of the Chicago Bears.
Fox replaces Marc Trestman, who was fired after two seasons.
Fox mutually parted ways with the Denver Broncos after leading the team to a 46-18 record in four seasons. He previously was the head man of the Carolina Panthers from 2002-2010.
Fox is one of six coachs to lead two different teams to a Super Bowl. The Bears have missed the playoffs each of the last four seasons.
