CHAMPAIGN – Two men are in custody after a local University of Illinois student was shot to death during a robbery late last month.
Police say Reginald Scott of Champaign and Daniel Gonzalez of Cicero intended to rob Vicente Mundo of cash and a small amount of marijuana. Police say the pair dumped his body in a field 10 miles south of Champaign.
The Chicago native was discovered last Saturday, nearly a week after he was killed.
