WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Channahon) isn't totally on board with President Obama's plan to fight ISIS.
The Republican tells Fox News' "On The Record" that Obama's plan limits the military too much.
"What I saw worries me for a couple reasons," said Kinzinger. "I think when it comes to warfare you never say what you can't do or what you wouldn't do. This puts a three year timetable on the president's authorization to ISIS. It can be extended, but we may be in a totally different political environment."
The President sent Congress a formal request for authorization to use military force on Wednesday. He has previously been working under a congressional authorization that was approved after 9-11. Obama's new request would not authorize long-term, large-scale ground combat operations.
