Robert Henning
Robert L. “Bob” Henning, 70, of Normal, died at 2:23 a.m. Feb. 26 at his home.
His memorial service will be at 4:00 p.m. Monday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Bloomington, with Rev. Christine McNeal officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. Monday at the church. Additional services and interment will be held at a later date in Crescent City. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
He was born Jan. 3, 1945 in Watseka, a son of Arthur and Ruby Conrad Henning.
Surviving are two sons, Matthew (Kelli) Henning of Bloomington and Jeffrey Henning of Jefferson Georgia; and three grandchildren, Chad, Nash and Gaven Henning.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.
Bob led the 1963 Watseka Warriors boys’ basketball team to the Sweet 16 in the state finals. He served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves and graduated from Western Illinois University. Bob retired from State Farm Life Insurance Companies in 2000. He was an avid golfer and a long- time member of the El Paso Country Club. Bob was a die-hard Illini, Bears and Cubs fan.

Robert Jones
Robert D. Jones, 80, of Bloomington, passed away at 1:55 p.m., Feb. 26 at his home.
His graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday at Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal with Rev. Bo Schmitt officiating and Cody Powell assisting. There will be no visitation. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Robert was born June 10, 1934 in Pekin, the son of Harvey and Feraldine M. Hudspeth Jones. He married Carol Gabrish on Dec. 13, 1983 in Waukegan. She survives.
He is also survived by five children Scott (Mary Pat) Jones of Villa Park, Tami (Harold) Hill of Athens, Ala., Nancy (Jeff) Norris of Spring Grove, Susan (Kenan) Lavelle of Charleston, S.C. and Mike (Jil) Howard of College Station, Texas; eight grandchildren, Kaleb (Shawna) Barrett, Luke Barrett, Zac (Bradi) Barrett, Samantha Lavelle, Brett Lavelle, Shannon Jones, Briana Jones and Grace Jones; one brother, Richard (Marlene) Jones of Pekin and a sister, Sherry (Butch) Mitchell of Manito.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Robert was a proud alumnus of Illinois State University. He taught in the Waukegan Public School system, retiring in 1992 as a junior high school principal in Waukegan.
