WJBC Athletes of the Week: March 2, 2015

WJBC, in partnership with Frontier Communications and Roberts Trophies, is again proud to present the High School Athletes of the Week.

Here are the winners for the week of March 2, 2015:

Sydney Shanks – Central Catholic Girls Basketball 

Sydney led the Saints with 16 points and six steals as CCHS claimed third place in the Class 2A state tournament at Redbird Arena. She averaged a team high 14.5 points per game in the two state finals games. 

Ben Ryan – Normal Community Swimming

Ben took third in the 500-yard freestyle at the IHSA State Meet on Saturday. His time of 4:34.29 broke his own school record.
