Illinois Wesleyan falls to UWSP in NCAA tourney

STEVENS POINT, Wisc. – Wisconsin-Stevens Point's lockdown defense prevailed in the second half as Illinois Wesleyan managed just three points in the final 8:45 in UWSP's 70-53 win in the NCAA Tournament second round at Quandt Fieldhouse. 

The Titans clawed back to within 35-34 at halftime after trailing by as many as 11. UWSP limited the Titans to 27 percent field goal shooting in the second half. 

Trevor Seibring was the only Titan in double figures with 13 points. Joe Ritchay was the Pointers' leading scorer with 19. 

IWU ends the season at 20-9 on its program record sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
