WJBC, in partnership with Frontier Communications and Roberts Trophies, is again proud to present the High School Athletes of the Week.

Here are the winners for the week of April 27, 2015:

Ellie Weltha – Bloomington Softball and Track

Ellie won the shot put (38-5 1/2) at Normal Community Track Invitational on Friday. Earlier in the week, she homered twice in one day to lead the Purple Raiders to victory at the Mattoon Tournament.

Alec Trela – Normal Community Baseball

Alex homered and drove in six runs as part of a three-hit game to lead the Ironmen to a 12-0 win over Peoria Central.
