NORMAL – Sunday, June 7 will be Normal 1-5-0 Night at the Corn Crib, which will feature discounted tickets and all concessions for $1.50, excluding alcohol.
Uptown Manager Joe Tulley said the fun doesn’t stop there.
“We’ll be giving away lots of Town of Normal 1-5-0 branded swag,” Tulley said. “So some t-shirts, other goodies, we’ll also be selling that merchandise. We’ll have some historical displays, some games, and we’ll also have some circus related entertainment. So clowns, face painting, that type of thing.”
The first 1500 fans to enter the Corn Crib will receive free birthday cupcakes from Sugar Mama Bakery, and Tulley said pairing with local businesses is what the celebration is all about.
“The whole goal is to celebrate 150 years of the town’s history,” said Tulley. “And the best way to do that is to look for entities that are critical to the town’s success. When we reached out, the CornBelters and Sugar Mama Bakery both wanted to help anyway they could. So they’re great partners, and they are folks that are interested in celebrating what it is to be Normal, and they want to reach out to the community and show how special of a community we have here.”
Ticket information can be found on the Town of Normal’s website. Those who cannot afford tickets can contact the city, and special accommodations will be made.
