Kirk apologizes for comment caught on live microphone

WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Mark Kirk may have underestimated the microphone in a Senate hearing room.

Kirk, R-Ill., followed the lead of late night talk show hosts who are offering one liners about Republican Senator and Presidential candidate Lindsey Graham’s joking claim that he would have a rotating cast of first ladies if he wins the White House because he’s single. Kirk used a word he might like to have back, calling Graham a “bro with no ho.”

A Kirk spokesman says the Senator apologizes to any he may have offended.
