Bloomington man accused of beating pregnant woman

BLOOMINGTON – A Bloomington man has been arrested on charges of aggravated battery of a pregnant woman.

Jeremy Coleman, 33, also is charged with unlawful restraint and domestic battery with a prior conviction. Coleman was arrested for numerous interactions with a woman, who is six months pregnant.

Court records indicate Coleman grabbed the woman on June 4, then threatened to beat her if she answered the door when police came in response to a domestic violence call on June 9. Coleman also is accused of hitting the pregnant woman in her stomach on June 10.

Coleman is scheduled to appear in court for an arraignment on June 26.
