Since it’s still about nine months too soon to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, why not have a picnic to celebrate all things Irish?
That’s exactly what the Irish Heritage Society is doing this coming Sunday the 28 between 1:00 and 4:00 P.M. at Tipton Park’s sheltered pavilion located at the northeast corner of E. College Avenue and N. Airport Road. The entrance is off of College Avenue about a block west of Airport Road. There is plenty of free parking right there in the park.
Live entertainment is being provided by The Dynamics singing duo, and chicken, Avanti’s gondolas and beverages are provided by the Irish Heritage Society. Members are asked to bring one side dish, or salad or dessert for the potluck table.
Members get in free and guests are asked to pay $10 at the entrance. All proceeds go to help fund the Society’s programs, such as Easter Seals.
And of course if you are Irish or simply wish you were and love all things Irish, you can always sign up for a membership at the picnic!
I assure everyone that a good time will be held by all, in this beautiful park setting, so please come!
I look forward to seeing you there!
