Lucille MasonLucille Mason

Lucille V. Mason, 93, of Bloomington passed away at 5:50 a.m. on July 9 at McLean County Nursing Home in Normal.

Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. at the memorial home on Monday.

Interment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington. Memorials may be directed to St. Luke Union Church or to an organization of the donor’s church.

Lucille was born on June 10, 1922 in Bloomington, a daughter of Gus and Martha Lockenvitz Beyer. She married Donald E. Mason on March 12, 1960 in Bloomington. He survives

In addition to her husband, Donald, Lucille is survived by one brother, Bob (Eleanor) Beyer of Normal; nephews, Steve (Laurie) Beyer of Bloomington, Rob (Jackie) Beyer of Bloomington, Chuck (Patty) Beyer of Plano, Joe Beyer of Ottawa, Jeff Mason of Dallas, Texas, Mike Mason of Crown Point, Ind., Mike Mason of Atlanta, and Kevin Mason of Chicago; one niece, Sue Rainey of Dalls. Also surviving are three great nephews, Scott and Daniel Beyer both of Bloomington and Sam Beyer of Ottawa.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles E. Beyer.

Lucille was employed at Wabash Telephone Company, State Farm Mutual Insurance Company and retired from Corn Belt Electric Co-op in 1964.

She was a member of St. Luke Union Church in Bloomington.

Lucille enjoyed spending time making crafts ,and playing cards. She enjoyed good food and good company.
