The St. Louis Cardinals play the first of two games tonight on Chicago’s South Side in their only road visit during the first two weeks after the All-Star Break.

The Cardinals play a suddenly slumping White Sox team which is trying to hang on in the American league wildcard race despite losing three out of four after the break.

All-Star Michal Wacha (10-3) will take the mound for the Cardinals against Sox rookie lefthander Carlos Rodon (3-2)

WJBC will have the action from U.S. Cellular Field with the Cardinals Radio Network starting at 6:15 p.m.

The Normal CornBelters take their first-place standing back to the Corn Crib to begin a six-game homestand against the Joliet Slammers.

The Belters took first place in the Frontier League’s West Division with a 5-4 win in 11 innings at Washington on Sunday.

Greg Halbleib will bring you the play-by-play starting at 6:20 p.m. on WJBC.com.

I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
