Wayne A. Luedtke, 66, of Bloomington, died the morning of July 27 at his home.

He was born Jan. 6, 1949 in Chicago, son of Myrtle and Wayne Luedtke. He grew up in Menomonee Falls, WI. Wayne graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1973, it was there that he met his future wife, Deb Peck. They were married on Aug. 18, 1973, in DeKalb.
Surviving are his wife, Deb, of Bloomington; his brother, Gary (Barb) Luedtke of Hubertus, Wis.; his “second” mother, Lou Luedtke of Sister Bay, Wis.; his sister, Mary Sheehan of Sister Bay, Wis.; and his sisters-in-law, Melody (Dave) Haring, Dawn (Don Rozhon) Peck and Lisa (Steve) McCabe. Also surviving are one nephew; two nieces; eight grand-nieces and nephews and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Wayne worked at State Farm Ins. Co in Bloomington for over 40 years, earning several insurance designations before his retirement in 2011. He loved traveling with his wife, Deb, golf, the Green Bay Packers and cars, especially Corvettes.
