State Farm seeks to sell ‘underutilized’ building

BLOOMINGTON – A building State Farm Insurance Cos. has occupied for the last quarter century is on the market.

State Farm is seeking a buyer for the one-story building at 304 N. Hershey Street.

“We are putting an underutilized building on Hershey Road on the market,” spokeswoman Holly Anderson said. “This property has not been fully utilized in recent years.”

Anderson said there are fewer than 30 employees currently working there in the State Farm Systems department. The company will relocate those workers into other Bloomington facilities once the building is sold.

The building was constructed in 1990.
