PEORIA – Peoria native Gary Richrath, who was the lead guitarist for REO Speedwagon and who wrote several of their hits, has died at the age of 65.
Richrath was with the band until 1989 but came back in 2013 to play at the Rock to the Rescue concert at U.S. Cellular Coliseum which was a benefit for tornado victims in Central Illinois.
