Raymond Edward Anglin, 82, of Gibson City, passed away at 1:42 p.m., Sep. 16 at his residence.
Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of life will be determined at a later date.
Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax is in charge of arrangements.
Raymond was born Jan. 1, 1933 in Marietta, Okla. the son of Herbert and Eva Barfield Anglin.
He has been married to Lattie L. McQuown for 56 years. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Vie (George) Anglin-Jones of Saybrook and Zoe (Howie) Anglin-Groff of Mahomet; grandchildren, Katelyn (Carl) Jones-Hamlow, Marissa Jones, Madison (Derek) Conley, Adam Jones, and Gavin and Kyler Groff; great-grandchildren, Kabe Hamlow and Asher Bell; sister Mary Kay(Dale) Whittington of Thackerville, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jerry Ray Simpsen.
Raymond is a veteran Corporal of the United States Army serving from 1953-1955.
Ray worked for the Kankakee Area COOP and Kankakee and surrounding area school districts for 45 years as a child school psychologist. He has certifications in Clinical Psychology and also was a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Ray also was an advocate for children in the school system and spoke on their behalf in the courts and school system.
